NEW JERSEY KIDS FORCED TO GET VACCINATED

The Public Health Council in New Jersey has voted to require all children attending preschool or daycare to be injected with four different vaccines. If this rule goes into effect — and political momentum is certainly in its favor — New Jersey would be the first U.S. state to make the vaccination of children required by law. This means that those parents who refuse to participate in such vaccination programs would be labeled “criminals” and arrested at gunpoint.

The health experts in New Jersey backing these vaccines claim there’s absolutely no evidence showing that the chemicals used in the vaccines — which include trace amounts of neurotoxic mercury — are in any way harmful or linked to autism. These are the same people, of course, who say that mass fluoridation of public water supplies with a toxic waste chemical misnamed “fluoride” is also perfectly safe. And mercury dental fillings are safe, too, if you can believe that. In fact, there’s hardly a chemical or heavy metal being used in public health today that isn’t safe enough to be injected into the bodies of children, if you believe these so-called health “experts.”

COLD HARD FACT: JESUS AND LUCIFER ARE BROTHERS

It is true that Jesus and Lucifer are brothers. And Father/Son, and maybe more than that. These things have a way of recylcling. Yin Yang mix ups – yadda yadda —-Happens all the time at church and bars and in normal places with normal people. That we are stuck on these paradigms still is hilarious.

Ya btter sit down. I’ll try to be brief. You have a hard time with that because you have come to worhip a book that put you in a tidy little box, without a key.  Believe the box, stay in the box.

Allow me to show you something different. You decide if it’s true or not. It’s not perfect,. but it’s a start – A NEW START. If you cry at the movies, you better not read the rest.

Here’s the jist….The Bible God is a Supernatural being.  The same being that has quite a HOLOGRAM in store for humanity in the next 5 to 10 years. Wait till you see this SECOND CHRIST. It’s called the Second Coming. But, it’s really THE SECOND CHRIST? Why? Well, that is a whole nother blog about the *so called* Poor Soldiers For Christ, and the stone being rolled away, and the securing of Jesus’s body (skull and bones) and the impregnation of Magdalene, and the Son she birthed whose bloodline is —-well, I don’t want to confuse you more. There are a couple of things you need to know first. Gosh, I am so exhausted trying to wake people.

I know, this is not what people are taught. People….until you RELEASE everything you have been told about GENESIS- and get with some new info, you will be stuck here in this place FOREVER. As in TO  RA  H  (the H is #8  and the number 8 on it’s side is infinity).  I need to move faster. Grab hold my tail.

The Bible is well – kind of like a movie script – in many ways.  If you don’t believe in scientific principals, then move along now. There is no such thing as time -in truth. Google it. If you don’t want to google it, then don’t, but then stop whining.

I am a Jesus Freak. Love Jesus, but I believe Jesus was not created by a loving God. Jesus was created by a supernatural being – not of love. Jesus cameto know this. That is why this statement:FORGIVE THEM FATHER – THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO. The 40 days and nights in the desert was a visit from Dad/Brother/Mother/Sister/Brother – to say “Hey Bud, this is the deal….zip it and go along or suffer and die.”  He is the example of the TRUTH, THE LIFE AND THE WAY. He recognized what hs body was. He remembered what his Mind is, and chose.

The supernaturals are the same Gods the ancient Greeks worshipped. You know, Athena, Zeus, Posiedon, Apollo, etc….. and the Egyptians drew pcitures of space ships on their rocks. Did you know that? Anyway – parting the red sea is child’s play to these beings. They learned how to do that a few million (human years) ago. Grow up.

Can you even imagine that there is life – so far advanced that they could make the earth quake and the floods come?  No?  Your mom is calling you. I’ll meet up with you later. Way.

Jesus was created for GENE ISIS, and placed here to be a product of money, war, separation and other pleasantries. Look how smart his Creator is – IT WORKED !!!  The supernaturals (numerically) have ties to a couple of religions. Big ties. I won’t name them, for you might fall off this ride and I don’t have certification to save you.  No one should be surprised really.

Now, here’s the deal. The Gene Isis folks created every single living thing in it’s physical form. Are you still there?  They own the physical. Your highest SOUL SELF is the mind, and YOU OWN IT.

Now get this: Your Mind is more powerful than your body !!  And what that means is you stop attending this Pot Luck anytime you want to.

GOD DOESN’T BUILD HUMAN BODIES. GOD IS NOT A HUMAN BODY. GOD IS NOT A FORM. GOD IS NOT DEFINABLE IN MY VIEW EXCEPT TO SAY THAT THE GRACE OF LOVE EXISTS IN THE ALL. But, not everyone wants to tap into that happy place.

SO, THE SUPERNATURALS CREATED LUCIFER AND THEY CREATED JESUS. BUT YOU ARE STUCK ON THE IDEA OF THE BIBLE RENDITION AND THIS IS WHERE YOU GET HUNG UP ON OLD BRANCHES. IT ISN’T SO. SORRY.

BUT, SEE, THERE ARE SOME RELIGIONS THAT KNOW THIS- WITH A CAPITAL K.

if ya catch my drift.

IS THERE A GOD – SURE, WHY NOT. I DO BELIEVE IN THE JESUS THAT WOKE THE HELL UP AND TAUGHT US WHAT LOVE IS  – THANK GOD.  BUT, THERE’S A LOT YOU DON’T KNOW MY FRIEND. YOU CN BELIEVE IN THE LOVE AND LIGHT OF JESUS, BUT PLEASE DO SO FROM KNOWLEDGE. THE SAME KNOWLEDGE OTHERS HAVE, BUT HAVE HIDDEN FROM YOU. DO PEOPLE KNOW THERE GOD IS THE GOD OF EARTH? AND THAT’S NOT A GOOD THING?  I DON’T KNOW. I DON’T THINK THEY DO. THE SUPERNATURAL VEIL IS VERY POWERFUL. BUT PLEASE MAKE NOTE THAT ALL RELIGION IS A TOOL, AND A HANDY TOOL AT THAT. NOT JUST MORMONISM. A RATHER BRILLIANT STRATEGY FOR THE GODS. SO FAR SO GOOD.

OH AND THIS:

Lawrence O’Donnell Was Right About Mormonism

By Ryan J. Davis, HuffingtonPost.com

http://www.alternet.org/bloggers/http://www.huffingtonpost.com//70527/

Watching “The McLaughlin Group” on Sunday, I was impressed by Lawrence O’Donnell’s fearless attack on the origins of Mormonism. I was also surprised to read Jason Linkins’ piece, on this very blog, criticizing O’Donnell for a “radical assault on Mormonism” and claiming that he “lost his mind.” Linkins seems shocked that someone would be so angry, but I totally understand O’Donnell – racism makes me angry too.

What Linkins completely fails to address is that nothing O’Donnell said about the Mormon faith is incorrect. Let’s break down his statements:

…this man stood there and said to you “this is the faith of my fathers.” And you, and none of these commentators who liked this speech realized that the faith of his fathers is a racist faith. As of 1978 it was an officially racist faith, and for political convenience in 1978 it switched. And it said “OK, black people can be in this church.” He believes, if he believes the faith of his fathers, that black people are black because in heaven they turned away from God, in this demented, Scientology-like notion of what was going on in heaven before the creation of the earth.

None of this is inaccurate. It was assumed that “blacks inherited the curse of Ham and the curse of Cain” and it wasn’t until a “divine revelation” in 1978 by LDS Church President Spencer Kimball that they were allowed to be full members of the Mormon church. Mitt Romney was thirty-one years old in 1978; he’s been a practicing Mormon all his life (”My faith is the faith of my fathers – I will be true to them and to my beliefs” is what he declared last week), so either he’s lying about his commitment to his faith, or he believed this racist nonsense for the first 31 years of his life. What’s more, Wikipedia tells us that in the mid-1960s, a full decade before Mormonism’s divine racial correction in 1978, “Romney served in France for 30 months as a missionary for LDS Church.” As a missionary for the Mormon faith, did Romney fully buy into Mormon doctrine of that time? These are highly pertinent questions for a man who wishes to lead a multiracial United States.

O’Donnell then goes on to claim that Mormonism was founded by a “fraudulent criminal.” He’s right, of course. Joseph Smith, Jr. was the charlatan who founded Mormonism; he’s also a child molester by today’s standards (his thirty-plus wives included seven minors: two 14-year-olds, two 16-year-olds and three 17-year-olds). The story of Smith’s “revelation” is so bizarre and silly that I won’t repeat it; you’d think I was making it up. You can read it all here, as told by Christopher Hitchens, if you have any interest in wading through all the revelations and counter-revelations, angels, gold tablets, and the true origin of Native Americans according to Mormonism (their account of Native American history, incidentally, is yet another horrifying facet of the Mormon doctrine of white supremacy).

Mormons were fairly pro-slavery, with one of their founding members quoted as saying “You must not think, from what I say, that I am opposed to slavery. No! The negro is damned, and is to serve his master till God chooses to remove the curse of Ham…” Those were the words of Brigham Young, who incidentally has a college named after him in Utah, which incidentally graduated a certain Mitt Romney in 1971.

I’ll resist dredging further into the swampland of Mormon doctrine; I personally think debating religious doctrine is sort of like trying to decide whether Tim Burton’s Batman or Chris Nolan’s Batman Begins gets closer to the truth of Batman’s “actual origins.” (The answer is obviously the latter.)

I don’t understand Linkins’ desire to defend a church with such a sordid history, a history that was at odds with our vision of American justice and equality as recently as 1978. Their beliefs make me as angry as O’Donnell was, and I’m glad he was gutsy enough to say what he said.

Finally, Linkins ludicrously wonders how O’Donnell gets along with the writers of HBO’s Big Love, a show on which O’Donnell plays a recurring role. Since the show itself has probably informed O’Donnell’s views, I doubt he’ll be “giving up his role” on the show because of them. Anyway, I would assume that he gets along with the Big Love folks just as well as people who think the mafia isn’t a good thing would get along with the team behind The Sopranos: in other words, just fine.

(Correction: Linkins has pointed out to me in an e-mail that he went “out of [his] way” to point out what O’Donnell said about the Mormon faith was correct. By “I go out of my way” he means a single sentence and a link. Linkins’ correction actually makes my case. The infuriating thing about his post was that he acknowledged that what O’Donnell said was correct. He apparently just didn’t like O’Donnell’s strident tone (pretty odd objection from a fellow political blogger, I must say). Case in point: the title of Linkins’ post was “Lawrence O’Donnell Loses His Ever-Loving Mind on McLaughlin”. Linkins’ correction perfectly demonstrates that his post was an unwarranted, unfair hit piece on a guy who was telling the truth.)

THE ROMNEY HUCKABEE FLAP

WHY APOLOGIZE ? THEY DO BELIEVE THAT.

Huckabee and Romney are going to the mat over his Mormon beliefs. Oh, it’s tasty, because WingNutDaily used this to move in for the fundie kill. Tee hee.

Satan has reared his ugly head in the 2008 presidential campaign – literally.

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has prompted angry denunciations of religious bigotry by rival Mitt Romney as well as an official retort from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for speculating in a New York Times Magazine interview this weekend that Mormons believe Jesus and Satan were brothers.

Stirred by the debate, the Associated Press sought clarification from Kim Farah, a spokeswoman from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She said the question is usually raised by those who wish to smear the Mormon faith, but she evaded a direct answer to the question: “We believe, as other Christians believe and as Paul wrote, that God is the father of all. That means that all beings were created by God and are his spirit children. Christ, on the other hand, was the only begotten in the flesh and we worship him as the son of God and the savior of mankind. Satan is the exact opposite of who Christ is and what he stands for.”

More to the point, the official website of the LDS church explicitly makes the sibling connection between Jesus and Lucifer a matter of official Mormon doctrine.

Perhaps Satan is running the Romney campaign. Take a look at this, and protect your keyboards. (via Sully, h/t oddjob).

Voters of Iowa, Mitt Romney is desperate to let you know that when it comes to family values, he’s the family value-est. Both Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee are in favor of a constitutional amendment to only allow normal people to get married, but did you know that only Mitt Romney raised the stakes and now wants the amendment to say that only heterosexual couples have the right to own property, to vote, or to have the latest cool gadgets. You may have heard that Mitt Romney supported gay marriage when he was the governor of Massachusetts, but that means that only Mitt Romney knows how gay marriage has devastated that state. The streets are filled with orphans in Massachusetts, and giant rats feed on the flesh of the few remaining survivors. Mitt Romney is opposed to giant gay flesh eating rats, Mike Huckabee loves them.

And that thing Mike Huckabee wanted to do — putting AIDS patients in camps — Mitt Romney would go one better…not just rounding up atheists, but also using waterboarding to see who’s a believer and who isn’t.

Mitt Romney…you used to like him.

Obama Supports Homegrown Terrorism Bill

Jessica Lee
The Indypendent
December 10, 2007

Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama says that he will support the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act (S. 1959). According to the automatic email responses constituents are receiving from his office, Obama appears to be straddling the fence between preserving civil liberties and being tough on terrorism.

“The American people understand that new threats require flexible responses to keep them safe. They also insist that our responses to threats respect the constitution and do not violate the basic tenets of our democracy,” Obama’s email said. Several people who have written to Obama have posted his response on various blogs, including “Justin” who’s personal blog was picked up on diggs.com.

“I wrote Senator Obama (my senator from Illinois) about this act, which is now in a committee of his (the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs). I asked that he read the bill (not to insult his intelligence, but after the Patriot Act it appears this is a necessary request for most senators), and that he recognize the dire consequences that could result from its vague language,” Justin wrote Dec. 6 below the post of Obama’s email. “He’s quite eloquent, you’ve got to give him that. This act ‘includes provisions prohibiting the Department of Homeland Security’s efforts from violating civil rights and civil liberties of U.S. citizens.’ Didn’t we used to have something like that? What was it called? Oh right… The Constitution.”

The House version of the bill, H.R. 1955, passed Oct. 23 by a vote of 404-6 under the “suspension of the rules,” a provision that is available to quickly pass bills considered “non-controversial.”

Obama is on the 17-member Senate Committee for Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, where S. 1959 was introduced by Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine) Aug. 2. “I will keep your important comments in mind as I work with my colleagues on the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs. I will work to ensure that this legislation helps to achieve our domestic security objectives while protecting civil liberties and constitutional rights,” Obama stated in his email to Justin.

Many scholars, historians and civil liberties experts say they fear that the proposed bill will set the stage for future criminal legislation that be used against U.S.-based groups engaged in legal but unpopular political activism, ranging from political Islamists to animal-rights and environmental campaigners to radical right-wing organizations.

“This bill fits the pattern we are seeing coming out of Congress – both Republican and Democratic – of a continued campaign of fear, which gets into heads of Americans that we now need to start criminalizing ideology,” said Alejandro Queral, executive director of the Northwest Constitutional Rights Center. He said he is very concerned about the bill’s vague definitions of “violent radicalization,” “homegrown terrorism,” and the terms within the definitions including “extremist belief system,” “violence” and “force.”

“What is an extremist belief system? Who defines this?” Queral questioned. “Planes flying into the World Trade Center is an extremist belief, but are anti-abortion activists extremists? Are individuals who liberate mink extremists? These are broad definitions that encompass so much, which need to rather be very narrowly tailored. It is criminalizing thought and ideology, rather than criminal activity.”

Jules Boykoff, an assistant professor of politics and government at Pacific University and author of Beyond Bullets: The Suppression of Dissent in the United States, told The Indypendent said he is concerned about how the government is broadening the definition of terrorism.

“Section 802 of the USA PATRIOT Act is a law that created a new brand of terrorists, the ‘domestic terrorist.’ Under this definition, the civil rights work Martin Luther King, Jr. did could have been construed as an act of ‘domestic terrorism,” Boykoff said.

In a Nov. 30 Common Dreams article, ‘Homegrown’ Suppression of Dissent,’ Boykoff provided a historical-based critique of who could be included under the umbrella definition of terrorism. “Even a cursory look backward through U.S. history reveals heroic figures who could be dubbed ‘violent radicals’ or ‘homegrown terrorists’ under the proposed bill, from U.S. revolutionaries like Sam Adams to gun-toting slavery abolitionists like John Brown to militant civil-rights organizers like Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr.”

Kamau Franklin, an attorney with the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), also expressed concern that H.R. 1955/S. 1959 will foster a legislative momentum on criminalizing a broad range of dissident voices. “The Commission’s broad mandate can lead to the ability to turn civil disobedience, a form of protest that is centuries old, into a terrorist act,” he said. “My biggest fear is that they [the commission] will call for some new criminal penalties and federal crimes,” says Franklin. “Activists are nervous about how the broad definitions could be used for criminalizing civil disobedience and squashing the momentum of the left.”

“It’s possible that someone who would have been charged with disorderly conduct or obstruction of governmental administration may soon be charged with a federal terrorist statute,” Franklin said.

Many activists and civil liberties advocates have expressed concern across the nation on blogs and radio shows about how the bill’s use of vaguely defined terms can be seen within a historical pattern of sweeping government repression of dissenting voices throughout the history of the United States where citizens have been targeted for their political beliefs. Two generations of Americans experienced first hand the two “Red Scares” (1917-1920 and 1940-50s) and the FBI’s secret Counter Intelligence Program, nicknamed COINTELPRO, which enabled the FBI to “expose, disrupt, misdirect, discredit, or otherwise neutralize” domestic protest groups for “subversive activities” and “potential crimes.”

To many, the similarities between COINTELPRO and the bill are unsettling. The proposed legislation calls for the National Commission to “examine and report upon the facts and causes of violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism and ideologically based violence in the United States” in order to develop policy for “prevention, disruption and mitigation.” This investigation is needed, according to stated Congressional findings, due to possible threats to national security.

The secret program continued until it was discovered COINTELPRO was investigated by a U.S. Senate select committee on intelligence activities (commonly known as the Church Committee) which convened in 1975. The Church Committee found that from 1956 to 1971, “the Bureau conducted a sophisticated vigilante operation aimed squarely at preventing the exercise of First Amendment rights of speech and association, on the theory that preventing the growth of dangerous groups and the propagation of dangerous ideas would protect the national security and deter violence.”

In the last 30 years, significant evidence has surfaced about how the FBI and local law enforcement disrupted non-violent social and political movements, even “neutralizing” individuals through target assassinations. The secret program was vast, with agents monitoring and agitating people involved in the “New Left,” including anti-Vietnam War efforts, the civil rights movement, the Black Panthers, Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), the American Indian Movement, Puerto Rican independence groups, popular musicians and counter-cultural and revolutionary independent newspapers.

OTHER PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE VIEWS ON THE BILL

Democratic presidential hopeful Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) said that he believes the proposed bill is unconstitutional.

Speaking to a crowd of supporters in New York City Nov. 29, Kucinich took several questions from the audience, including my question asking why he voted against the bill. Kucinich was one of only six representatives to oppose the bill on Oct. 23.

“If you understand what his bill does, it really sets the stage for further criminalization of protest,” Kucinich said. “This is the way our democracy little, by little, by little, is being stripped away from us. This bill, I believe, is a clear violation of the first amendment.”

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul was one of the 22 House members not present for the vote.

A small demonstration against S. 1959 took place outside Senator Hillary Clinton’s office in New York City Dec. 10. Her office did not return an Indypendent’s call for comment.

Blackwater’s Bu$ine$$

by JEREMY SCAHILL

[from the December 24, 2007 issue]

Gunning down seventeen Iraqi civilians in an incident the military has labeled “criminal.” Multiple Congressional investigations. A federal grand jury. Allegations of illegal arms smuggling. Wrongful death lawsuits brought by families of dead employees and US soldiers. A federal lawsuit alleging war crimes. Charges of steroid use by trigger-happy mercenaries. Allegations of “significant tax evasion.” The US-installed government in Iraq labeling its forces “murderers.” With a new scandal breaking practically every day, one would think Blackwater security would be on the ropes, facing a corporate meltdown or even a total wipeout. But it seems that business for the company has never been better, as it continues to pull in major federal contracts. And its public demeanor grows bolder and cockier by the day.

Rather than hiding out and hoping for the scandals to fade, the Bush Administration’s preferred mercenary company has launched a major rebranding campaign, changing its name to Blackwater Worldwide and softening its logo: once a bear paw in the site of a sniper scope, it’s now a bear claw wrapped in two half ovals–sort of like the outline of a globe with a United Nations feel. Its website boasts of a corporate vision “guided by integrity, innovation, and a desire for a safer world.” Blackwater mercenaries are now referred to as “global stabilization professionals.” Blackwater’s 38-year-old owner, Erik Prince, was No. 11 in Details magazine’s “Power 50,” the men “who control your viewing patterns, your buying habits, your anxieties, your lust…. the people who have taken over the space in your head.”

In one of the company’s most bizarre recent actions, on December 1 Blackwater paratroopers staged a dramatic aerial landing, complete with Blackwater flags and parachutes–not in Baghdad or Kabul but in San Diego at Qualcomm Stadium during the halftime show at the San Diego State/BYU football game. The location was interesting, given that Blackwater is fighting fierce local opposition to its attempt to open a new camp–Blackwater West–on 824 acres in the small rural community of Potrero, just outside San Diego. Blackwater’s parachute squad plans to land at the Armed Forces Bowl in Texas this month and the Virginia Gold Cup in May. The company recently sponsored a NASCAR racer, and it has teamed up with gun manufacturer Sig Sauer to create a Blackwater Special Edition full-sized 9-millimeter pistol with the company logo on the grip. It comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. For $18, parents can purchase infant onesies with the company logo.

In recent weeks, Blackwater has indicated it might quit Iraq. “We see the security market diminishing,” Prince told the Wall Street Journal in October. Yet on December 3 Blackwater posted job listings for “security specialists” and snipers as a result of its State Department diplomatic security “contract expansion.” While its name may be mud in the human rights world, Blackwater has not only made big money in Iraq (about $1 billion in State Department contracts); it has secured a reputation as a company that keeps US officials alive by any means necessary. The dirty open secret in Washington is that Blackwater has done its job in Iraq, even if it has done so by valuing the lives of Iraqis much lower than those of US VIPs. That badass image will serve it well as it expands globally.

Prince promises that Blackwater “is going to be more of a full spectrum” operation. Amid the cornucopia of scandals, Blackwater is bidding for a share of a five-year, $15 billion contract with the Pentagon to “fight terrorists with drug-trade ties.” Perhaps the firm will join the mercenary giant DynCorp in Colombia or Bolivia or be sent into Mexico on a “training” mission. This “war on drugs” contract would put Blackwater in the arena with the godfathers of the war business, including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.

In addition to its robust business in law enforcement, military and homeland security training, Blackwater is branching out. Here are some of its current projects and initiatives:

§ Blackwater affiliate Greystone Ltd., registered offshore in Barbados, is an old-fashioned mercenary operation offering “personnel from the best militaries throughout the world” for hire by governments and private organizations. It also boasts of a “multi-national peacekeeping program,” with forces “specializing in crowd control and less than lethal techniques and military personnel for the less stable areas of operation.”

§ Prince’s Total Intelligence Solutions, headed by three CIA veterans (among them Blackwater’s number two, Cofer Black), puts CIA-type services on the open market for hire by corporations or governments.

§ Blackwater is launching an armored vehicle called the Grizzly, which the company characterizes as the most versatile in history. Blackwater intends to modify it to be legal for use on US highways.

§ Blackwater’s aviation division has some forty aircraft, including turboprop planes that can be used for unorthodox landings. It has ordered a Super Tucano paramilitary plane from Brazil, which can be used in counterinsurgency operations. In August the aviation division won a $92 million contract with the Pentagon to operate flights in Central Asia.

§ It recently flight-tested the unmanned Polar 400 airship, which may be marketed to the Department of Homeland Security for use in monitoring the US-Mexico border and to “military, law enforcement, and non-government customers.”

§ A fast-growing maritime division has a new, 184-foot vessel that has been fitted for potential paramilitary use.

Meanwhile, Blackwater is deep in the camp of GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Cofer Black is Romney’s senior adviser on counterterrorism. At the recent CNN/YouTube debate, when Romney refused to call waterboarding torture, he said, “I’m not going to specify the specific means of what is and what is not torture so that the people that we capture will know what things we’re able to do and what things we’re not able to do. And I get that advice from Cofer Black, who is a person who was responsible for counterterrorism in the CIA for some thirty-five years.” That was an exaggeration of Black’s career at the CIA (he was there twenty-eight years and head of counterterrorism for only three), but a Romney presidency could make Blackwater’s business under Bush look like a church bake sale.

In short, Blackwater is moving ahead at full steam. Individual scandals clearly aren’t enough to slow it down. The company’s critics in the Democratic-controlled Congress must confront the root of the problem: the government is in the midst of its most radical privatization in history, and companies like Blackwater are becoming ever more deeply embedded in the war apparatus. Until this system is brought down, the world’s the limit for Blackwater Worldwide–and as its rebranding campaign shows, Blackwater knows it.
