Greg KearNEY: “Mormons do not speak with one political voice!”

Protest regarding the 11 page letter sent out by Freedom Defense Advocates about the Mormon Church:

“This is old chestnut stuff that we’ve dealt with for years and years and years,” said Greg KearNEY, a member of the Foundation for Apologetic Information & Research, a nonprofit organization that runs a Web site explaining and defending Mormon doctrine, belief and practice. He read the letter at our request.

“The idea that Mormons speak with one political voice and one political motive is just plain nonsense,” Kearney said.”

He didn’t see where nearly 100% of mormons in the republican party voted for Mitt Romney in Nevada.

  1. The letter does not say all Mormons speak with one political voice. It does not say the average, every day Mormon is even aware of what goes on behind the scenes. It is the leadership of the Mormon church that has planned for the fulfillment of the White Horse prophecy. We do believe that when a crisis occurs, if a Mormon like Mitt Romney is the president, the leadership of the Mormon church will take advantage of the situation. Will the everyday average Mormon respond? Most likely they will, with the vast majority of them NOT realizing they are being used by the leadership.

  2. It’s interesting that Romney went “oh for seven” in Bible Belt states on Super Tuesday. He has been exposed, so to speak, as the shape shifter that he is. And now his band of merry men (and women) like Hannity, Limbaugh, Coulter, Ingraham, et al, have to eat crow. They’ve sold out social conservatism for the lure of the mighty dollar.

  3. Perhaps I’ve underestimated the establishment backing Romney has. Karl Rove, Fred Barnes, and the Limbaugh/Hannity/Coulter/Ingraham gang are pushing hard for Romney.

Of course, that means we have more work to do in exposing his “Latter Day Conservatism”…
